Terms & Conditions

§1 Customer information

All customers are obliged to fill in their data correctly and completely. This includes the following:

  • Full name (with a copy of passport or identity card) or company name and its VAT number
  • Address
  • Contact details: e-mail address and telephone number

§2 Payment

All customers are obliged to pay the full price including VAT and deposit before the start of the booking. In the case of monthly payments, the amount is due by the 1st of the month. The key to the room will be provided only after receipt of payment.

§3 Credit card payments & cash

Hotel Conti accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro. Credit card authorizations can be made. Cash payments are not possible.

§4 Additional costs

Electricity, water and heating, Wi-Fi, TV fees are included in the price.

§5 Value added tax

The current tax rates are: 3.7% for Switzerland

§6 Cancellation of the booking

A cancellation of a booking is only possible in the following cases:

  • Bookings of 30 days or more can be cancelled up to 30 days before the start of the booking at no additional cost. Thereafter, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
  • Bookings with a stay of 14 to 30 days can be cancelled up to 14 days before the start of the booking at no additional cost. After that, the booking amount will be charged.
  • For bookings with a stay of 1 to 14 days, the booking will be cancelled up to the day before arrival at no additional cost. After that, the booking amount will be charged. e.g. arrival on the 10th cancellation possible until the 8th at 24.00 o'clock.

§7 Termination of the guest contract

The customer is obliged to send the notice of termination in writing (letter or e-mail).

The notice period for permanent residence is 1 month to the end of each calendar month. The hotel can terminate the customer without giving reasons with a one-week notice period. In case of commercial activities or disruptive behavior of the guest, the hotel will immediately deny the customer access to the building.

§8 Deposit

The hotel has the right to request a deposit. The deposit will be refunded within three weeks of departure, provided that the room is returned in satisfactory condition and there are no outstanding bills to settle.

§9 Additional persons

Additional persons staying in the room must be reported to the hotel and pay a fee of CHF 30.- plus the city tax . Unauthorized persons do not have a residence permit.

§10 Images

Although Hotel Conti takes great care to accurately represent each room, actual rooms may differ from those shown on the images on the website.

§11 Right of access

The hotel reserves the right to enter any room for cleaning, repairs, maintenance and technical checks.

§12 Check-in

Check-in must take place between 2.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on the day of arrival.

§13 Leaving the room

The room must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Delays in vacating the room may result in an additional late departure fee.

§14 Cleaning

The weekly cleaning includes the cleaning of the room floor, and the bathroom, bed linen and bath linen is washed and provided. Cleaning takes place between 09.00 and 17.00.

§15 Final cleaning

The final cleaning CHF 149.- are not part of the additional costs and will be charged additionally. Should the room require additional cleaning due to excessive clutter, the customer will be charged a surcharge.

§16 Inventory

All customers are obliged to check the inventory list. If no defects, deviations or damages are reported within three working days of check-in, the hotel will assume that the inventory list is correct.

§17 Liability

The hotel is not responsible for damage, theft or loss of personal belongings, including customers' vehicles.

§18 Use and commercial prohibition

Any use of the room for commercial or business purposes is strictly prohibited.

§19 Fire detection & fire brigade

If the fire alarm is triggered unnecessarily through the fault of the customer, the hotel is entitled to charge the customer for the costs of the fire brigade and/or police intervention.

Cooking after 22:00 to 06:30 is prohibited. If the fire alarm is triggered due to the use of the kitchenette at night, the customer will be charged the costs for the fire brigade operation of CHF 1500.-.

§20 Smoking ban

Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the building. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a penalty fee and, in extreme cases, the damage caused to the room by smoke may incur additional costs.

§21 Possession of drugs or firearms

The use of drugs and possession of firearms or other weapons on the premises of the landlord is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the immediate expulsion of the customer and notification to the local authorities.

§22 Pets

Pets are not allowed.

§23 Internet use

The hotel is not responsible for damages such as spam, viruses or spyware caused by the use of the network.

§24 Camera surveillance

Camera surveillance is used for the security of the building and for the personal safety of each individual customer. In accordance with data protection regulations, the records are only handed over to the authorities in the event of criminal proceedings.

§25 House Rules

The customer must always comply with the house rules installed in the building.

§26 Safe key

In case of loss of the safe key 450.- will be charged.

§27 Withdrawal of the hotel

If an agreed advance payment is not made even after expiry of a reasonable grace period set by the hotel, the hotel is also entitled to withdraw from the contract.

Furthermore, the hotel is entitled to withdraw from the contract extraordinarily for objectively justified reasons, for example if

  • force majeure or other circumstances for which the hotel is not responsible make the fulfilment of the contract impossible
  • Rooms are booked under misleading or false information of essential facts, e.g. in the person of the customer or the purpose
  • the hotel has justified cause to assume that the use of the hotel services may endanger the smooth business operations, the security or the reputation of the hotel in public, without this being attributable to the hotel's sphere of control or organization.
  • a violation of house rules or disturbance of the peace.
